Considering the weather surrounding us, we had nice weather for our meeting.   Turn out for the meeting was somewhat small but I'm sure that was due to the weather.   Introductions were made and we were pleased to welcome a new member.   Don Snyder is our newest member and brings with him many years of model airplane experience.   Don says he started flying when he was 13 with free flight and rubber band power then to control line and finally to remote control.   Minuets from the last meeting were discussed and Anthony Harden gave the treasures report.   Bottom line is WERE BROKE again.   We've spent a good deal of money this year but I think everyone agrees that the results were worth it.   Shirts and hats are still available so be sure to get them while you can (we could use the money).

Mike Grippin was given a well deserved big round of applause for all the time and effort he has put into grounds keeping.   Mike is at the field everyday moving sprinklers around, fertilizing, mowing, moving dirt, etc.   We also need to thank Mike's wife for her help and understanding and their two dogs for their fertilizing efforts.   The up coming air show and our participation was discussed.   The air show will be October 19 at Jackson's Mckellar-Sipes Regional Airport.   We will have a static display there and perform some demonstration flights.   If you will be able to contribute either or both, make sure you sign up with Tim Treneff so you will be assured of your free pass.   The only downfall to this date is that Magic Valley will be holding their fall fly in on the same day.    We will most likely be working in shifts so those that would like to go to Magic Valley will be able to do so.

Summer must be officially over.   Our indication of this is that Rich Johnson was at the meeting and he flew his F-4 PHANTOM II.   Anthony Harden and his son Justin had their manual with them for their 50% EXTRA 300.   This is one big plane with a wingspan of over 12 feet.   WOW!   My question is, will they be able to fly it at our field or will they have to fly out of Mckeller field?

Rumor is that Jeff Cowan got his feet wet in combat with his new BAT built by Alex Treneff.   As the rumor goes, Jeff flew against Tim and Alex three times and won the first two events.   On the third event Tim was so frustrated that flew into Jeff's BAT destroying them both.   Take this for what it's worth.   I've only heard this from one person and their view may have been slightly biased.    I left early so I wasn't there, thanks for the update Jeff.
