Saturday and Sunday 8/18/02
Jimmy Gibson sent me these pictures from Saturday and Sunday this is what he had to say:
Jimbo,
The weather has not changed much hot, hot hot!!!!!!, but as always the
regular brave soul's still come to fly. Dennis and Joseph Patterson, Danny Wheeler, Tim and Alex Treneff, Mike Grippen, Leonard Johnson, Jeff and Cory Cowans, David Broach, Ricky Gately, Pat Finney and myself. I am sure I have
forgotten somebody.
Pat Finney came out with his new Cosair " beautiful plane" and his dc-3.
he could not get the dc-3 running right but I am sure he will in the near future.
Joseph Patterson brought out his Delta Dart "what a screamming machine" ,
it had to be fastest airplane I have ever seen, saddly it met an untimely death sunday afternoon. When you are going that fast it is hard to tell up from down.
David Broach brought the new cub again, and Scott Hubbell and his dad
helped him with the motor and it flew great.
Danny Wheeler is impressing everybody with his helicopters, his nerves were
a little shot with the east wind on Saturday, but he flew great. he also brought out a beautiful Cap 232 on Sunday.
As always Alex wiped Tim's butt on the bat's again sunday. Would it be
great to be young again!!
Thankfully we are getting some rain, and the field is green and beautiful,
thanks to all that help maintain the field.
