Nice day with 60 degree weather but gusting winds.   Turn out was great and even with the wind there were many good flights including Kurt Warfel going from a harrier into a hover with his Hanger9 Ultra Stick......   Cool!

Speaking of Cool.....    Tim and Alex were at it again with comBATS and put on a great show.   When they start flying it's hard to take your eyes off them and everyone cringes a little when they get close enough to score.   Of course I wasn't watching when they got close enough to have a mid-air.    ;O(

Jeff Milam had his new Kyosho Pitts and Jeff Layman took it up on it's maiden voyage.....    :O( Sorry Jeff!   Jeff Milam's Pitts didn't get very high before it crashed.   Jeff Layman was doing all he could but it just kept snapping on him.....   Thirty hours of work and now repair.........    Sorry Jeff ;O(

I guess the worst thing that can happen to someone new to the hobby is to have their plain crash on their first time to the field.   It's very discouraging but it's part of the hobby.....   The hardest part.   Rand Martindale was at the field with his new trainer and they think the battery failed and caused the crash.   Welcome to our field Rand and please come back.    It won't always be like today......
