Jimbo,
We had a beautiful weekend for flying. Saturday was windy, but Sunday was
very little wind and a great crowd. Tim Treneff brought his very large Laser 200 (scratch built)
G62 powered (with smoke), and put on a very good show. Alex Treneff flew his Extra
300 and showed how a RC aircraft should be flown, some of us will never be
at that level but I am going to keep trying.
Jimbo brought his new Venus 40, Tim put it through it's paces and it flys
great, Jimbo is going to enjoy this one. David Huff has a new Modeltech
Magic, once he get's used to it he is truely going to discover the "wind is
your friend". Mike Grippen flew his rebuilt Ag Wagon, who knows he might
lower hiself to flying a Stik's next. Mike is also hard at work training
Brad Cottrell with his somewhat trainer (I think it is called a QHOR). From
what I have seen Brad is doing a great job.
I would also let everybody know that we now have water at our building,
all the sprinkler lines are buried, and we have the abilities to provide
services to future projects at the field. I would like to thank everybody
who came out and helped Saturday.
Mike Grippen ( It is good he is a networking/computer expert, because two
parts of his body could not tolerate being a trencher operator)
Roger Bivens ( We would all have been needing a large source of Ben Gay if
not for Roger's help)
David, Cristie, and Tiger Ridenhour ( Did everything from trencher operator,
shovel operator, and a "hell of a lunch chef")
David Broach ( pushs a mean shovel)
Rich Johnson ( Rich came out to fly, but ended up laying pipe and shoveling
dirt)
Jeff Layman ( if he ever gets tired of being an plastic's executive, he
should consider trencher operator as an alternative career)
All joking aside thanks for all the help guy's.
Later,
Jimmy
