Jimbo,
Anybody who did not fly this weekend missed what I believe was the best flying
Saturday & Sunday I have seen. Sunshine and winds
not more than 5 mph all weekend. We had very good crowds both days.
Mike Kruger brought out his new 33% or 1/4 scale ( this was a point of
arguement for everybody) Cap 232. Jeff Layman & Mike took
it up for the first time and this plane flew great and looks beautiful.
Frank Gerard brought his Patty Wagstaff out again, still looking and flying
good.
Heck, I even brought out a new plane. I have a new Great Planes Extra 300
40 size plane. Jeff Layman took it up for the first time, trimmed it
out and it flew great. I flew it Saturday & Sunday, although I still am a
little nervous, I love it.
As always Tim & Alex Treneff, Denny Duncan and David Riddenhour are
working to repair the water line to the field. Mike Grippen mowed the field
for the first time this year, a sign of good grass to come.
Later,
Jimmy
