Jimbo,
What a beautiful day to fly Saturday, sunshine and almost zero wind. The
WTRC was well represented as well, I counted
21 members and pilots. I could kick myself for not counting airplanes, and
lets not forget helicopters, but I would guess at least
35 aircraft.
There was a special club meeting at the field Saturday, two bylaw changes
and new officers were elected. But I will not
tell you about all this because the newsletter will
have the details.
When you go out to the field you should notice there "NO" trees to the
north for the full width of the runway. Thanks to everybody who came out
and worked Saturday morning. It was alot of hard work, but there was enough
"BS" and cutting up to make it alot of fun.
Everybody is bringing out their new planes. Anthony Hardin and son brought
their new Ryan, slick looking plane and flew great. Tim Morris reincarnated
the Tiger Moth (mid-air collision last year) , I love to watch that plane
fly. Jim Wilson brought out a 40 size P51, this plane had some beautilful
detail work.
Mike Kruger brought out his new 1/3 scale Cap 232, unfortunally servo
problem kept him from flying. And finally Frank Gerard flew his new Patty
Wagstaff
Extra 300 with 64 Fuji. Jeff Layman had a busy weekend, he flew each one of
these planes for the first time.
It was great to see this many people out to fly. By the way Jeff Milam
will be a Dad again on Wednesday morning, I see a new pilot on the horizon.
Best of luck
to Jeff and his wife.
Later,
Jimmy
