Jimbo,
We finally had a weekend with "SUNSHINE", but with just a bit of south
wind (20 mph) on Saturday and north wind (15 mph) on Sunday.
As you can see we had a large crowd on Saturday and Sunday both. David
Warren soloed for his first time and flew great. Pat Finney brought out his
fleet of planes and they all flew great especially his twinstar 4-stroke, I
love the sound of this plane. Everybody flew great in the wind, no crashes,
no damaged
planes.
Brent Young (helicopter guru from Michigan) came out Saturday and Sunday
and showed everybody just what a helicopter can do and many things
you did not know they could do. Unfortunally Brent is leaving to go back
home, but while he has been here he infected two of our members with the
helicopter bug. I heard a rumor Sunday afternoon that Ricky Gatley was
already doing rolls and loops with his helicopter, and another member has
a new heli on order.
Just a reminder we will have a meeting at the field Saturday March 15th at 2:00pm...
Later,
Jimmy
